The results are in …

Thank you so much for participating in my first-ever poll! The results are in, as follows:

blog results 2.jpg

The category of Personal Stories was, by far, the most preferred. Much like the recent political campaigns, I could have predicted the winner with just a few votes cast. I was a little surprised by that result, but also grateful to know that people not only like, but actually prefer, personal stories. (The Personal Stories category received 45% of the votes.)

The categories of Do-It-Yourself Projects and Photo Blogs tied for second place, each with about 18 % of the votes. The Arts and Crafts category followed in fourth place with almost 14% of votes and the category Fiction Stories, Poetry finished last with less than 5% of the votes. Perhaps there are too many fiction stories and poetry?

Again, thanks for your help and participation! I am always looking for ways to improve the blog so feel free to share others if you like.

Thanks for reading!

  1. What an interesting poll!
I usually post personal stories and they are often silly. So my blogging is not for everyone. 🙂
I saw your comment on GP’s site and that your name is Carolyn! That is my name, too! Although my family called me Caroline a lot. 🙂
    HUGS!!! 🙂

  2. Hi Carolyn – I get called Caroline and Carol. In fourth grade, my teacher called me Carol and told her it was not my name. Long story short, she sent me to the principal’s office; he came back to the class with me and told the teacher my name was Carolyn.. 🙂 I was surprised that people chose personal stories but also a bit delighted. I’ve never been sure people are interested in personal stores but I guess they are. Hugs to you! Thanks for commenting!!

    • I really enjoyed hearing your story about 4th grade!
Yes, of all the nicknames I had…I was never called Carol. Not sure why.
In grade school one of my friends was a girl named Carolyn. It was the first time either of us had met another Carolyn…and we were thrilled! Her family called her Carol, so she went by that and I got to be Carolyn. 🙂 I have another friend on WP named Carolyn…but she doesn’t blog much.
      You’re welcome! 🙂
