Remember the box elder tree that was recently trimmed …
After just a few weeks, the remaining part of the tree is now home to a delightfully diverse mushroom community. I have no idea of the names for the type(s) of mushrooms that are growing here. However, it appears there is a place for many different kinds – a new community.
There are some with domed tops …
Some with bumps …
And some with flare …
All growing together … because nature naturally allows it. Wouldn’t it be nice if it were that simple for humans.
And this is what the mushrooms above look like today; the bottom one is laying on the ground and the red spiked ones have not become golden domes.
Thanks for reading!
That is really cool. It’s been an amazing year for mushrooms!

Thanks, Cindy! I keep finding them – probably because it’s been so wet. I love the detail on them.
