Country roads …

Longer vacations take planning. Sometimes we take very mini-vacations – and by that I mean for a hour or two or so. We just get in the car or van and off we go. You’d be surprised at how far you can go in a short amount of time.

The best trips have no destination in mind. You just start driving. Or you can run an errand and then – on the spur of the moment – take a little side trip. The best part of this is that it is unplanned – so there’s no preparation needed. We’ve found many interesting sites, beautiful landscapes and small family-style restaurants – especially when we find ourselves in a little village or town.

We are always looking for wildlife and old buildings. The photos that follow are from the last week of escapades. We didn’t find any wildlife but we did finding buildings.

I’ve been using my phone to take pictures. I have the batteries charging for my cameras so I can take better photos. There are many more country roads just waiting for us to explore them.

Thanks for reading!! I hope you will return.
