It’s that time of year …

Well, it’s that time of year … it’s finally warm enough to go shopping for plants. We always decorate the graves of many family members as well as having several pots or hanging plants in our yard.

My husband made the first trip to get some ‘globe bushes.’ They will be planted along the white picket fence separating the parking area from the ‘back’ yard. Eventually they will become a hedge (we hope).

Love these calla lillies …
I wish they were perennials, though.

The second trip was to Cambridge to find flowers to plant in the cemetery urns and the barrels along our driveway. We found most of the plants for those projects. It’s supposed to rain most of the weekend and into next week, so some of the planting may be done inside the garage.

What a lovely shade of lavender/purple

Of course, while we were buying our plants, I was busy taking photos. I’ve included a few in this post. I love the variety of plants and colors.

Large and small …
Shades of green …
A purple tangle …

Thanks for reading. I hope you return!
