Color inside and out …

Fall is a wonderful season for brilliant color … both inside and out. Today’s blog is a photo tour of our color.

Inside, I find the following  …

The brilliant color of my violets …

And my cactus .. which often blooms around Halloween …

And then I venture outside … and I find the orange and red hues  …

And my favorite oak tree … I protected this little sapling when it was just a sprig with two leaves. Years later it is magnificent.

I hope you enjoyed the tour of color.

Thanks for reading! I hope you will return again.

Color from the yard …

Today I bring you bits of color from our yard. Soon the summer will be over – but, you can always come back to this blog to get a bit of joy.

The hibiscus have really blossomed with the recent very warm weather.

The rain is helping produce mushrooms …

The lilies will soon be done blooming …

Such vibrant color …

This is the only blossom on my rose bush. I wish you could smell it … heavenly.

Flowers, flowers, flowers … the 2015 Season

This year was a very good year for growing flowers at our house. We had nice weather, ample rain … but not too much … and only a few strong storms. Luckily, we had no storm damage. Over the season, I’ve been posting pictures of our flowers on Facebook. This time, rather than post lots of photos, I made a quick video (less than 2 minutes) from still shots taken this summer. A bit of a warning – this is my first attempt at creating a video. I hope you will take a couple of minutes and enjoy the color. Simply click Here. Enjoy!

Thanks for reading and for watching.
